About Me

I am a woman, mother, spouse, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, former lawyer, volunteer, and psychotherapist-in-training. I have five years of formal training (with one to go!). I completed the three-year Development Program at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, and I am completing my second year at the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling Training.

I have 50 years of life experience that informs the way I relate to and connect with people. I am the eldest of five children, the mother of two young adults, and I have been married for over 20 years.

I am a huge believer in psychotherapy for long-term maintenance and short-term crisis management. I have been in therapy for 30 years, taking breaks and coming back to it as life required. I have had four excellent therapists in my life, including the one I see now.

I connect and de-stress by spending time with my family and my two little dogs, Pepper and Richie. I also serve on the volunteer boards of two charitable organizations, and I teach fitness classes six mornings a week.
